Bugle Batten Screws
A Bugle Batten screw has as a course tapping thread and a special long sharp fluted point to capture chips in timber. Used widely in the building trade as it is a heavy duty screw. It is often used in retaining walls and decking. The countersunk head has nibs which help to remove the timber particles when countersinking.
